At Jamia Masjid Rizvia, we provide comprehensive Funeral (Janazah) Services to support families during one of life’s most difficult times. Our aim is to ensure that all Islamic rites are fulfilled with dignity, care, and in accordance with the Sunnah.
We are here to offer guidance and practical support from the time of death to the burial.
Our Funeral Services Include:
Guidance and support at the time of bereavement
Arrangement of body collection and transfer to the funeral home
Ghusl (ritual washing) of the deceased by trained staff
Kafan (shrouding) in accordance with Islamic tradition
Janazah (funeral) prayer at the Masjid
Coordination with local cemetery for burial
Use of Masjid facilities for family and community prayer
Important Information
Please notify the Masjid as soon as possible after a death occurs.
We can assist with hospital or home death procedures, including liaising with local authorities.
Our team will guide you through certificates, permits, and burial documentation.

Green Form (from the Registrar)
Deceased’s ID (Passport or Driving Licence)

Burial Arrangements
We work closely with local councils and cemeteries to facilitate timely burials. Our team can assist you in choosing burial plots, liaising with the council, and ensuring the burial meets Islamic requirements.
Support for Bereaved Families
We also provide:
- Dua gatherings (on request)
- Bereavement counselling referrals
- Ongoing support from the Imam and Masjid team
Fees & Donations
While we aim to keep costs minimal, some services such as transport, coffin, and cemetery fees may incur charges. Please contact us for an estimate.
We accept Sadaqah and donations to help support funeral services for families in financial hardship.
