A Sacred Union, Blessed in the House of Allah At Jamia Masjid Rizvia, we are honoured to facilitate and officiate the blessed union of Nikkah (Islamic Marriage) in accordance with Islamic principles and UK legal requirements.
We understand the significance of this milestone and are here to ensure it is conducted with dignity, clarity, and ease.
Our Nikah Service Includes
NiKkah Service
Nikah Ceremony conducted by our qualified Imam
Pre-marital guidance session (optional but recommended)
Nikah Certificate issued upon completion
Use of Masjid facilities for the ceremony
Customizable ceremony in English, Arabic, or Urdu (as needed)
Advice on civil registration (Note: Nikah alone is not a legal marriage in UK law. A separate civil ceremony is required.)
Requirements
Both Bride and Groom must consent to the marriage.
Presence of two Muslim male witnesses.
Valid ID (e.g. Passport, Driving License) for both parties.
Wali (guardian) for the bride, especially for first-time marriages.
Mahr (dowry) details to be agreed in advance.
Completed application form (provided below or at the Masjid office).

- A nominal fee is charged to cover administration and Imam’s time. Concessions available for those in hardship.
Location Options
- Nikah can be performed at the Masjid
- Or at a venue of your choice (subject to Imam’s availability)

Note on Civil Marriage
Please be aware!
An Islamic Nikah is not recognised as a legal marriage under UK law. We strongly advise couples to also register their marriage with the local registry office to ensure full legal rights and protections.
